Gloucestershire Community Rail Partnership - is consulting with the public to understand the current transport issues and needs in your local communities, and to form views on the future shape of travel for the County as we move into 2021.
GCRP is a new organisation formed in 2020 bringing together all the local authorities, the LEP, rail and bus operators, Active Gloucestershire, Visit Gloucestershire, Access Gloucestershire, the University of Gloucestershire and other key partners. Although we focus on rail, we're really committed to helping the whole transport system work - including use of bus, walking, cycling, community transport. motorcycling and taxis alongside rail use.
We want to get a sense of how recent challenges have impacted on travel behaviour in the County. Do take part even if there is no rail station close by - as the views on wider public transport and getting from A to B are just as important to us! There's only 10 key questions for you to answer and it is quick and easy to complete! Please use this link.
Note that the survey is anonymous and we will be looking at the results as a big picture. Please try and answer all questions if you can but you can skip over any that do not apply to you or you do not wish to answer. If you have any questions please contact us at info@gloucestershirecommunityrail.org

The decennial census is almost upon us. Households across Stroud will soon be asked to take part in the nationwide survey of housing and the population. It has been carried out every decade since 1801, with the exception of 1941.
Information from the digital-first census will help decide how services are planned and funded in your local area. This could mean things like doctors’ surgeries, housing or new bus routes.
Households will receive a letter with a unique access code in the post, allowing them to complete their questionnaire online. Paper questionnaires will be available on request.
Census day is March 21 2021

Campaign to reopen Bristol Road Train Station Stonehouse
There is a renewed campaign to reopen the old Bristol Road railway station at Stonehouse now renamed Stroudwater Station. It would mean a direct link to Bristol & Birmingham, and convenient for commuters and shoppers alike.
Stonehouse Town Council and Railfuture submitted a bid to the Department for Transport’s Restoring Your Railway Fund; the proposal was assessed as having potential. The bid now needs support from the Gloucestershire County Council. Please sign the petition to support this project.
